Frida Khala is the inspiration with a little humor thrown in. I'm sure it's in the eyes! Frida is a little over six feet tall with her (w)heels on. She's a mosaic sculpture crafted from an urn, a planter, styrofoam, dishes, clay birds and spider monkeys. Frida moves easily for her approximate 200+ pounds, but she's no pushover! Well, she was a pushover...she went for a spill, so is no more as she was. She is currently being reimagined into 3 different art pieces. "Frida" the bust, "Pelican Swim" fountain and "Marina" the mermaid. Keep checking for their completeions.
