
Finished BCA Projects
I had a wonderful time teaching mosaics to Mrs. Erikson's art students at Jupiter Elementary as we finished the complementary 50' bench/planter that we started 2 years ago. The first one started with Florida/Palm Bay history taking images from sea-life to Indians to Ponce De Leon and early settlers to kids playing as today. Florida Chair complete
If you've been by the studio, you've probably seen "Florida Chair." It sits more like a park bench, but its really pretty cool for a covered patio or entry. Lots of fun and can be personalized on the leaf! Check out the shopping section and you'll find it.


I WON for Most Creative!
This month has flown by and I have a lot of news, but foremost on the list is my win for the "Lost and Found" exhibit at Fifth Avenue Art Gallery in the Eau Gallie Arts District. The challenge went out to 25 artists to create a piece from a mish-mash of things each artist was given. The only common thing was a 12" square wood 'canvas'. New Evening classes this summer!
Summer brings daylight longer, so I've added an evening mosaic class for those people who stay busy during the day. The first class will be June 2 and meet weekly each Thursday night for six weeks. First project will be "Surfboard Art"...a 5' x 18" image that I will help you plan and draw out. The first group that did these boards loved them and did a great job!
